Kenan-Flagler Partnership


As part of the rebranding campaign, we have formed a partnership with UNC Executive Development. This partnership can be established upon implementation of the rebrand. After meeting with Leslie Bacqué Smith, Director of Faculty Network with UNC Executive Development at the University of North Carolina Kenan-Flagler Business School, the OEC should can work on this partnership.

Moving forward, the OEC will work with Leslie to coordinate a "teach in," taking place in January or March, where the center will have an hour and a half to show the six program directors and others what the OEC is all about and how the UNC Executive Development Partnership clients could benefit from utilizing the OEC in their programming.

Additionally, the OEC will send Leslie an example of a breakdown of the types of programming the OEC has done for businesses. The OEC can work with Leslie to become familiar with assessment tools that UNC Executive Development frequently uses, for example the WorkPlace Big Five.

Summer Concert Series

May | 6-9 pm | Outdoor Education Center

The OEC will host local bands during two different nights in May and provide a concert for summer school students and local members of the community.

Tickets will be $5.

Autumn Adventure Festival

October 6, 2017 | 5-8 pm | Outdoor Education Center

The OEC will host its first annual Autumn Adventure Festival in October for students and community members to come to the facility to enjoy food, music and much more. Fall-inspired attractions like a Hay Maze will be present.

Tickets will be $10 and will include snacks, a movie, music and access to the rides.

There will also be food vendors available for additional consumption.
